Class Videos

Nichole: Her movie was very informative. It looked really professional with all the transitions.

Ashley: Loved the use of pictures, music, and narration. I thought it was cool how she had her husband narrate it for her.

Sabrina: I really liked how she found music that went along well with the story and pictures. It built up suspense for the book.

Alyssa: It was cool how she used a book that she had written herself. That give you a chance to let others see your writing skills as well.

Kami: This video looked very professional. I loved the background music. It was very cool.

Heather: Heather used Spanish and English words. I thought that was a fun, interesting twist.

Web 2.0

My wiki is: http://ipt287eyestone.pbworks.com/

It was so cool to learn about all this new technology! I had no idea there was so much stuff out there that could be used. I really liked learning about wiki's. I was always intimidated about the prospect of having to create a website but now I know that it's not so bad. It was cool to learn how to embed items on the websites as well as how to create links. It is cool that with Web 2.0 you can connect with people around the world. I really like the idea of goodreads. It's cool to have a place where you can see what some good books are. Google reader is a great place to bring your subscriptions to one place. I also like how diigo allows you to bookmark your favorite websites.

Setting up the wiki was probably the hardest thing but that is because I've never done anything like that. It was just a long process to learn how to embed everything and get things set up. Although learning about the wiki's was probably the most difficult thing we did, it was also the most useful. I can definitely see myself using one for my class.

Education

I love getting an education because it is a new adventure every day. There are so many cool subjects to learn about. The mind has an amazing capacity to hold knowledge and I believe it is often underused. By receiving an education I am able to open doors to opportunities that I would never have thought possible.

I love the thought of being able to be a positive influence on other people's education. Teachers have an amazing impact on the young students they teach. They help mold them into the people they will become. I want to be able to change these young lives for good while also filling their minds with information they will need for the future.
